Dog Training Facilities

Felicite Latane Animal Sanctuary and APS Education and Behavior Center

The APS Learning Center, a premium dog training facility!

The APS Learning Center housed at the APS Felicité Latané Animal Sanctuary is a premium dog training facility with three fully-matted rooms, two for obedience and one for beginning agility; two outdoor agility fields; and a three-acre fenced dog park where members' dogs can run off-leash and
socialize. The center serves as the location for many seminars and workshops, and also features a library and store where you can purchase all your dog training essentials.

Facility rentals can be arranged through the dog training program manager at (919) 304-2330, extension 233, or dogtraining@animalprotectionsociety.org. Dog training events are scheduled up to a year in advance, so please make arrangements as soon as you can.

The APS Felicité Latané Animal Sanctuary also houses the new APS Adoption Center and the Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic. Because the APS Dog Training Program shares the sanctuary, we ask all our guests to keep their dogs on leashes at all times except in the dog park. We also ask our guests to use mutt mitts located at strategic points around the sanctuary.

Canine Spotlight

Speckles - Female;
1 year

Personality Profile
: Hi!  My name is "Speckles!"  I am a mixed breed female who will be 1 year old on March 10!  My sister Minnie and I have been in foster care since we were born.  We came to the APS in hopes of finding a family to call our own.  We are very sweet and loving.  We have always been kept in the home so we are house-trained and crate-trained.  We are great with other dogs, cats, and children.  Our hobbies include playing with lots of toys, running and walking on a leash or in a back yard, playing fetch, and cuddling on the couch!  Mainly we just want to be wherever you are!  We are very energetic and need lots of attention and exercise.  We do not require being adopted together, in fact, it would be wonderful to be top dog!  Come see us at the APS and give us a chance to make your house a home!
