Personality Profile: At first I am shy and unsure, but a few major back scratches and I'm yours for the taking! I used to be a mommy but now I'm all spayed and good to go, except for one teensy thing ... I've got an icky case of heartworms. But the APS will treat that too and after I'm all cured I'll be allowed to run zoomies, like I love to when I get excited and happy. Despite my silly side though, I am actually pretty quiet and cuddly most of the time. I'm the best of everything really. I get along great with all dogs, and don't seem to have any barrier/leash aggression issues which makes me a great candidate for walks in parks or on the sidewalk! I could probably live with a bossier housemate, because I'm just a big sweet baby. I'm not too interested in cats, and to be honest they make me a little nervous -- their paws look kinda sharp, ya know? I would be a great addition to any multi-pet household, or would be perfectly fine being your only spoiled four-legger. Some dogs are a bit too rambunctious for me though, so we just have to check and make sure everything's cool before I go home with ya.

Personality Profile: Do you have a big fenced in backyard where I can spend nice days frolicking in the grass? Is the inside of your home a quiet retreat where I can curl up on a doggie bed without any worries? That would be the perfect place for me, a girl who probably spent the first years of her life living outside with not much interaction from humans. Because of this, I am still very timid, but outside where I am most comfortable, I hop and bound and smile my bright beagle smile that will bring joy to your heart! My silky soft fur and long luscious ears are impossible not to stroke affectionately!

I don't mind dogs or cats, and am right now living problem-free with 2 Chihuahuas, a pit bull, and 4 cats. I bond fast with females, & I'm leery of men, but I never have shown any aggression, just my sweet & simple shyness. Just take it slow with the boys, and in time I should come out of my shell and show the world that this speckled girl can shine!

Lots of things make me smile, so winning my heart should be an easy task. I love the dog park, so lots of visits there or a home with many acres to explore would be ideal. I'm a 'morning dog' and love to play with plush toys and rawhide sticks while you are getting ready for work. During days at home with you, I would lay quietly in the bed all day if you let me. Like many dogs, I adore having my belly rubbed. I have learned to be a good girl in my crate while my foster parents are out, but am ready to be by my favorite human when they return. Gee, this 'home' stuff I sure could get used to! Please consider giving me the 'furever' kind!

Personality Profile: Brindle is true beauty. For a pittie girl, I sure do get along with other dogs quite well! When I am in the fenced area at the adoption center I can easily be outside with 3 or 4 other dogs, male and female, and I get along just fine. I have learned my sit command quite well for a dog that spends much of her day in a kennel, but if you take me out to get to know me, you will find that the 'caged' life is no way to live for an energetic dog like me! I enjoy soft squeaky toys, tennis balls, and toys of all kinds. Because of my leaping abilities, some of my best human friends here can see me being the next pit bull superstar like Wallace (go see his website -- I have the biggest crush on him!).  A little training can go a long way! When you hold me I am at my shyest since I'd rather be running around entertaining myself and my adoring audience. I have a terrier personality and when I'm feeling confident I really think I'm hot stuff!  I appreciate belly rubs and have a funny kick I do after I claim something as my own (some people call it peeing).  The only thing I ask is that I need to be your only prince; I usually don't like other dogs.
