A beautiful blue girl, I was most likely someone's backyard breeding dog who got loose one day in search of a new life. Well, here I am at the APS! No more babies for me! You may think that Chihuahuas that end up in shelters don't have a thing to worry about because they are small, cute and everyone wants one. But alas, that is not always the case! Small dogs sometimes take longer to housebreak and many people don't have the patience. I seem to do best in places where there are hardwood floors and linoleum, in which I will never soil! If you have experience with little ones and know we need understanding too, please consider taking me home. I would enjoy all the spoilin' of a single dog home, or with a family full of 4-legged creatures.

Personality Profile: I'm a wonderful dog, and in fact have been to many adoption outings but I haven't found that perfect family yet. I get along great with dogs (except really hyper dogs for some reason), and don't seem to have any barrier/leash aggression issues which makes me a great candidate for walks in parks or on the sidewalk! Personality Profile: I am the best big dog that you could ever ask for. Although I love to play and I'm a big 'ole boy, I am actually quite gentle. I walk calmly on my leash and don't pull too hard. I hardly ever jump up on you; I only jump up to catch Frisbees, tennis balls, and anything else you throw my way. I love to give kisses and receive hugs, and I'm always smiling. Lately, I have spending time dippin' my paws in the kiddie pools here in the APS back yard (so let's go swimming sometime)! Everyone that has met me for just a minute says what a great dog I am! Don't let size intimidate you; it takes a big dog to have a HUGE heart!

Personality Profile: I'm an All-Star athlete waiting to be drafted by the right team.  Throw me a ball and I'll fetch for hours.  Show me water and I'll dive right in.  Take me for a run and I'll follow you for miles.  But don't let my drive and sleek physique fool you.  When the workout's done, I love lounging around on soft blankets and cuddling with my people.  I'm especially fond of having my belly rubbed.  My dream team would continue working with me and help me grow into a true champion. Personality Profile: So I couldn't afford the right size dentures ... don't you love me anyway? I am great with dogs and cats and don't take long to get used to people at all. I am ready to be friends right away! I am housebroken and don't chew anything I'm not supposed to. If you have other dogs you will have to supervise me or separate me from them during meal and playtimes because I am  get a bit grumpy when others come close to my food and toys. I may not have had a lot of experience sharing in my past, unfortunately! Luckily I'm a little gal that can handle strong positive leadership and have many redeeming qualities that make me a near-perfect dog. Personality Profile: Hi!  My name is "Speckles!"  I am a mixed breed female who will be 1 year old on March 10!  My sister Minnie and I have been in foster care since we were born.  We came to the APS in hopes of finding a family to call our own.  We are very sweet and loving.  We have always been kept in the home so we are house-trained and crate-trained.  We are great with other dogs, cats, and children.  Our hobbies include playing with lots of toys, running and walking on a leash or in a back yard, playing fetch, and cuddling on the couch!  Mainly we just want to be wherever you are!  We are very energetic and need lots of attention and exercise.  We do not require being adopted together, in fact, it would be wonderful to be top dog!  Come see us at the APS and give us a chance to make your house a home!

Personality Profile: All I want is affection and cuddling! I am very calm & quiet, and at first seem shy, but they you realize that I am just politely trying to get you to notice me. For a small dog, I get along fine with kids and don't mind some petting from them either. I get along great with other dogs if they aren't too rough or crowd me. I also have a great smile: I show my teeth sometimes but not in a mean way, it's just something a few dogs seem to do and I was blessed with having that cute quality. I have big beautiful brown eyes that will melt your heart into mush. I am really well behaved and you will want to take me home when you meet me!
